Police track down 2 who approached Camp Hill girl

Posted: Updated:

Camp Hill police have charged a New Cumberland man in connection with an incident reported as a possible child luring attempt.

Police said Sean Mitchell Bronner, 21, has been identified as the driver who approached a 13-year-old girl Thursday evening as she walked in the 300 block of April Drive and called out, "Hey baby, come in the car and I will take you home."

Bronner was interviewed and admitted to being responsible for the incident, police said. He will be charged with disorderly conduct for his actions.

Authorities said the girl ran away and within minutes was approached by a second man, who has also been identified.

The 22-year-old man lives in the neighborhood where the incident took place. He has autism spectrum disorder and his intentions were not to harm the girl, but to give her a hug, police said.

He will not be charged, but arrangements for follow-up counseling have been made with the police department, investigators said.

Authorities added that while both incidents involved the same girl and took place in the same area, they are confident that there is no connection and the persons responsible had no knowledge of each other.
