Apocalypse Ale Works in Forest Wins Two Medals

Posted:

Forest, VA - Another local brewery is bringing home more awards.

Apocalypse Ale Works in Forest just won first for their Chocolate Stout, called 6th Seal, at the Virginia Craft Brewers Fest.

They won second for their Lustful Maiden, which is a Belgium Dubbel.

The brewery is still young, only open since February, which makes it the youngest to ever enter and win.

"We are so fortunate to be in this area and to have great breweries and for us to actually have been ranked right up there with them in my opinion is absolutely unbelievable," said brewery owner Lee John.

John there says they plan to start bottling their beer in November.
