Summer may be coming to a close, but it sure is going out on a muggy note. With overnight lows only dipping into the lower 70s, along with high humidity levels, it's feeling more like mid-summer, than Labor Day Weekend. The forecast for the middle part of the three-day stretch brings more of the same from yesterday. Expect more in the way of clouds today, with showers and thunderstorms starting to pop up later in the afternoon and evening. A couple hours of sunshine will allow temperatures to once again climb into the middle 80s for afternoon highs.
On Monday, a fresh cold front will push through the Commonwealth, bringing with it a renewed chance of showers and storms for Monday afternoon and evening. This batch will help to clear the air into Tuesday afternoon. Humidity levels will drop, and temperatures will flip from being above normal, to below normal by later in the week. Highs will likely max out in the upper 70s by Wednesday & Thursday.
