Danville, VA - Food Lion Stores around the area are raising money for the Children's Miracle Network.
One Food Lion in Danville is trying to gain support in a different way this year, however.
The Food Lion in Ballou Park hosted Miracles on the Lawn Wine Festival Saturday at the Danville Museum of Fine Arts and History.
There were several wineries from all across the Southside. There were also art and pottery vendors, as well food and music.
One of the organizers said they usually do golf tournaments, but this year, they decided to switch things up.
"A customer can make a donation and actually come out and sample and get a little bit more for their money than a balloon or a wristband," said Chris Smith, Store Manager at Ballou Park Food Lion. "They get a taste of wineries in Southside and see also local craft vendors."
