Police in Lower Paxton Township are investigating an armed robbery at a Sunoco early Saturday morning.
Officers were dispatched to the Sunoco in the 100 block of North Mountain Road at around 3 a.m. after a clerk reported that a man had robbed the store.
According to the clerk, the robber was wearing a white dust mask, sunglasses and a light-colored zip-up hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his head.
The man entered the front of the store and then struggled with the clerk who was trying to keep the door to the cash register room closed.
The robber had his right hand in his pocket as if he had a gun, though the clerk never saw a weapon.
The robber was able to open the door and remove the cash from the register drawer before fleeing toward Allentown Boulevard. No vehicle was seen.
The clerk was injured during the tug of war for the door but did not want medical treatment.
Police believe this robbery may be associated with other robberies in the Harrisburg suburbs during the last two months.
A robbery at the Hess Express on Allentown Boulevard on August 15 was very similar, according to authorities. There have also been other robberies on both the West and East Shores.
