Pittsylvania Co. Officials Arrest Trio on Weapons Charges, Intent to Commit Rape
Pittsylvania Co., VA – The Pittsylvania County Sheriff's Office has made three arrests following a breaking and entering, robbery, and malicious wounding that occurred on Halifax Road on September 3.
The crimes occurred around 2 p.m. September 3 in the 9900 block of Halifax Road, investigators say.
Friday evening, the Sheriff's Office executed a series of search warrants in the 13000 block of Mount Cross Road. There, they found three suspects and evidence linking the trio to the crimes from September 3.
Evidence from numerous locations in the Mount Cross Road area was taken into custody as part of the investigation.
The Sheriff's Office also took three men into custody for a number of charges.
Enrique Alonso Hernandez, AKA "Mosco", 33, from Danville, is charged with: possession and transportation of firearms or concealed weapons by a convicted felon, use of display of a weapon in the commission of a felony, breaking and entering with the intent to commit rape, robbery, or murder, aggravated malicious wounding, and robbery.
Angel Hernandez, 18, from Dry Fork, is charged with: robbery, aggravated malicious wounding, breaking and entering with the intent to commit rape, robbery or murder, and use of display of a weapon in the commission of a felony.
Johnny Ivan Hernandez, 18, of Norwalk, California is charged with: robbery, aggravated malicious wounding, breaking and entering with the intent to commit rape, robbery or murder, and use of display of a weapon in the commission of a felony.
All three men were taken into custody without incident. They remain in jail, and the Sheriff's Office says their first court appearance is scheduled for next week.
The victim of the original crime remains in the hospital.
The Pittsylvania County Sheriff's Office and the Pittsylvania County Commonwealth Attorney's office continue to investigate the crimes.
