Chatham, VA - Monday marks the 105th anniversary of the founding of Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham.
The school had a Founders' Day celebration with Cadets, faculty, staff, and alumni. Hargrave's president Don Broome read the Founders' Day Proclamation which was followed by a celebration with games and food.
The school says it is important to celebrate their history and the founders that made the school possible.
"You gather and you look back and you remember where you came from and you also celebrate it with a lot of energy to look forward to the future," said President of Hargrave Military Academy Don Broome.
Broome says the future of Hargrave looks bright. They plan to continue to grow with more successful young men.
Madison Heights, VA - Parents fighting to keep Virginia's training centers open say closing them might mean death for their loved ones.
