HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

Police across the Midstate are searching for a suspected serial robber.

Investigators believe the same man is behind at least five convenience store robberies that have happened over the last month.

The most recent incident occurred early Saturday in Lower Paxton Township, at the Sunoco gas station on North Mountain Road.

"He ended up struggling with the clerk over a door. The clerk tried to keep the doors shut," Lower Paxton Police Lt. Gary Seefeldt said.

The robber got into the convenience store and got away with some cash.

In recent weeks, there have been similar convenience store robberies at the Hess station on Jonestown Road in Lower Paxton Township and the Sunoco at Route 322 and Houckersville Road in Derry Township.

In Cumberland County, another robbery occurred at the Speedy Mart gas station on Market Street in Camp Hill, and the robber may also have struck in Lebanon County; at the Turkey Hill on East Penn Avenue in North Cornwall Township.

In each of the crimes, the robber wore a dust mask, sunglasses and a hoodie. He appeared to have a gun in his pocket, but never showed a weapon.

"We never know for sure it's the same person until we solve it, but the description and the MO are so similar that right now we're investigating all of them and it's all over this area," Seefeldt said.

Investigators hope someone will recognize the masked man before he strikes again.

"We're not seeing a lot of his face, but you see enough that we're hoping the public sees this and gives us some phone calls," Seefeldt said.
