HERSHEY, Pa. (WHTM) -

Police investigating a smash-and-grab burglary at a Hershey outlet store last month said they're working very close with Delaware state troopers after their arrest of a suspect in a similar crime.

Timothy Hood, 39, of Richmond, Va., was arrested Wednesday after a burglary at a Coach outlet store in Rehoboth Beach, according to Delaware State Police.

Hood and an unknown accomplice allegedly stole 85 purses, worth about $29,000, police said.

Authorities believe the pair were involved in two other burglaries at the same shopping center. About 60 pairs of sunglasses, worth more than $11,000, were stolen from a Sunglass Hut on August 7 and 85 purses, worth more than $27,000, were removed from a Michael Kors store on August 10 after the burglars smashed windows to get inside.

Police were are still looking for the second suspect.

Derry Township Police Chief Patrick O'Rourke said investigators believe Hood's arrest is related to an August 14 burglary at the Coach outlet store at 51 Outlet Square.

Police have said the burglars in that case smashed the plate glass from a front door before stealing a "significant amount" of merchandise.

Authorities have also been investigating a possible connection between the Hershey burglary and an August 19 break-in at a Coach outlet store at the Tanger Outlets near Lancaster.

East Lampeter Township police said the front glass door was shattered before the merchandise was stolen from the displays and shelves.
