YORK, Pa. (WHTM) -

Police are looking for a missing York College student.

Aaron Frishkorn, 21, a senior from Elizabethtown, was last seen at his campus residence Monday morning.

Fliers with his photograph have been posted across the campus.

"Yesterday the fliers went up and everyone was surprised," freshman Elaina Foter-Allen said. Today the fliers are still up and he's not found. People are starting to talk."

Frishkorn is set to graduate with a sports management degree in the spring. His recent absence from classes and meetings caught the attention of campus officials.

"He was very involved in his major as a sports management major," Assistant Dean Mary Dolheimer said. "He was also a very diligent academic student, so I think there was immediate concern because it was not typical of what we could expect of him."

Officials said Frishkorn's parents have not been able to reach their son, and the car he brought to the college is not on the campus.

"I am very nervous now and they say he is a good student, he cares, he belongs to organizations and nobody has seen him, I am worried now and suspicious," Foster-Allen said.

"I was really startled when I saw that," junior Roger Praca said.

Praca said Frishkorn's whereabouts have become the talk of campus and students are doing their part to help find him.

"Social media has been taking off a lot. You have a lot of Twitter, Instagram, Facebook. They are posting pictures all over the news feed and they are trying to share it across campus, they are posting it everywhere, so it's comforting to know that the students are taking charge and they want to see this kid back here," Praca said.

Anyone with information concerning Frishkorn's whereabouts is asked to contact York College Campus Safety at 717-815-1314.
