LEBANON, Pa. (WHTM) -

Lebanon police said they do not expect to file charges against a 68-year-old man who threatened suicide during an incident Wednesday morning in the 1500 block of Oak Street.

Police said officers found the man sitting on a side porch and pointing a small caliber revolver at his chest when they responded to the home at 7:30 a.m.

Officers were on scene for several hours negotiating with the subject and at 2 p.m. used a noise-flash diversionary device to take him into custody without incident, police said.

The man was transported from the scene by ambulance for a mental health evaluation. His name was not released.

Police said at no time during the incident did he threaten anyone else or point the firearm at officers.
