Danville Woman to Plant Trees to Honor Infant's Death

Posted:

Danville,VA - One Danville woman is taking steps to make sure a baby's life that was cut short earlier this year, is being memorialized.

Two-month-old Alpohonzo Fuller III was found unresponsive in a home back in April and later pronounced dead. Police say his cause of death was blunt force trauma.

Tracy Inman has no relation to the child, but held a candlelight vigil for him, and now has plans to plant several trees around the city in his honor.

"To be that young to not even get to enjoy life at all, that just breaks my heart and I just think that he deserves to at least be known," said Inman.

Inman is currently working with the city to decide where the trees will be planted.

Alphonozo's mother, Michelle Pruitt, is facing two counts of child abuse and neglect and one count of felony murder.
