HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

Police in Harrisburg are investigating a fatal shooting along the 1400 block of Hunter Street. A 32-year-old man was taken to the hospital and later died.

Dauphin County 911 dispatchers said the shooting occurred at around 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Police said 32-year-old Rafael Diaz-Cosme, also known as "Gordo" or "Toco," was pronounced dead from gunshot wounds.

On Thursday officials said that Diaz-Cosme was shot multiple times in the chest, with a fatal bullet through his heart.

Emergency responders were seen performing CPR on him in an ambulance before he was taken to a hospital, abc27's Mark Hall reported from the scene.

Police officers could be seen searching for evidence, and at least three shell casings were found at the scene, Hall said.
