YORK, Pa. (WHTM) -

Police say York College senior and sports management major Aaron Frishkorn, who was thought to be missing, was tracked down by police yesterday in Canada. Police believe Frishkorn did not wan to be found because he is a person of interest in a felony theft case.

"There were some unexplained withdrawals through the account; again, we are trying to come to some conclusions regarding how those occurred and who made them," said York College Administrator Mary Dolheimer.

York College says Frishkorn was scheduled to meet with campus authorities on Monday to discuss the unexplained withdrawals that accumulated to thousands of dollars from the sport management student association.

"Our focus is on the access that Aaron had on those funds," said Dolheimer.

Spring Garden police say they are investigating that account and the unauthorized withdrawals. Police have also made it clear that at this time they have made no determination that a crime has occurred.

Back at York College, Dolheimer says this situation has been a shocking revelation.

"He has been during his time here a good academic student, he has been passionate about this organization; there were no obvious signs of perhaps anxiety or things going on in his life, so it was very surprising," said Dolheimer.

Frishkorn is listed as the President of the York College Sport Management Student Association on there website.
