Update: Danville Resident Treated for Minor Injuries After House Fire

Update 10:30 a.m.:

Danville, VA - A Danville homeowner was treated for minor injuries after their house caught fire Friday morning.

Emergency vehicles had to close Arnett Boulevard for a little while when they responded to the fire about 8:15 a.m.

Fire officials say when first responders arrived, the homeowner had already gotten out of the house and was treated at the scene.

It took about 30 minutes for crews to put the fire out.

There is no word yet on the cause of the fire or how much damaged it caused.

Update 9:45 a.m.:

Danville, VA - Just after 8 AM, a call came in about a fire at 203 Arnett Boulevard in Danville. 

When first responders arrived, the homeowner had gotten out of the house.

Firefighters worked for about 30 minutes to extinguish the blaze while the Life Saving Crew treated the homeowner for minor injuries.

The cause of the fire and estimated damage to the home have not been determined.
