A steady stream of clouds prevailed this afternoon, but temperatures managed to reach the upper 60s and 70F in some backyards. After sunset the clouds should dissipate leading to clearing skies. Low temperatures look to be in the middle 40s and could drop lower if the winds die off quickly.
Overall in the longer term forecast we are moving into a very quiet pattern. The only wrinkle that may throw some clouds our way is a low pressure system that could form to our south by Thursday and Friday. There are also signs in the forecast guidance that a cool northeast flow could keep additional clouds around to end the week. Any areas of stubborn cloud cover from the east may keep high temperatures suppressed by next weekend. At this point though we see no immediate threats of rain and no substantial weather systems to interrupt a seasonal pattern
