MARIETTA, Pa. (WHTM) -

Susquehanna Regional police are investigating after they said a man was intentionally set on fire by another man Sunday night.

It happened around 7 p.m. on North Decatur Street in East Donegal Township.

Police charged 35-year-old Jeremy Hostetter of Marietta with several crimes including attempted homicide, aggravated assault, and arson.

The victim, 57-year-old Marlin Dyer, also of Marietta, is listed in critical condition at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Burn Unit in Baltimore.

Police said Dyer and Hostetter were involved in a confrontation after Hostetter went to Dyer's residence and threatened to burn the home.

Police said Dyer then went and located Hostetter on North Decatur Street where another confrontation took place.

Police said Hostetter then doused Dyer with a flammable liquid and lit it with a lighter.

Witnesses helped extinguish the fire.

The Lancaster County District Attorney's Office and the State Police Fire Marshal are also investigating.
