HANOVER, Pa. (WHTM) -

Police in Hanover, York County are investigating an attempted child luring.

They said around 5 p.m. Wednesday, a 14-year-old girl was walking along the 200 block of York Street, when she said a man in a car approached her and asked her if she needed a ride. When she told him "no" and kept walking, she said he told her to "get in the car."

The girl then ran home.

Police said the driver was between 50 and 60-years-old, mostly bald with a full grey beard, and thin-framed glasses with oval-shaped lenses.

Police said the man is driving a newer model Jeep Wrangler, either silver or grey, with a hard top, black interior and black tinted windows.
