Lynchburg - When the horn sounds to begin Saturday's Genworth Virginia 10 Miler, one of the runners at the start line will be Randolph College basketball coach Allison Nichols. Nichols has run one 10-Miler and even a half-marathon last summer. So Saturday's race should be a piece of cake, right?
Allison Nichols, 4TH-YEAR RANDOLPH HOOPS COACH, said "I don't know about a piece of cake. I have been training, I did run it one other time but that was 2005 which was a very long time ago. Really the only thing I'm worried about is and I think most people's biggest fear would be the Farm Basket Hill, the last mile and a half I think will be tough. But I'll find a way to get through it."
