Authorities granted the request of a Cumberland County man who asked to be arrested after he allegedly yelled obscenities at officers and refused to leave a police station.
East Pennsboro Township police said they charged 46-year-old John A. Eaton of West Fairview with disorderly conduct and defiant trespass for the incident Wednesday.
Eaton had walked into the lobby of the police station and requested to speak to the chief about an investigation where he was listed as the victim, and became irate when he was told the chief was out of the office, police said.
He was asked numerous times to calm down and he refused to leave the building, then offered his hands to police and asked to be arrested, authorities said.
He was sent to Cumberland County Prison on $500 bail.
