Woman, 23, killed in early morning crash

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. (WHTM) -

State police are investigating a deadly crash in Dauphin County.

It happened around 1:30 a.m. Friday on Rt. 230 at Cedar Street in Londonderry Township.

Police said a 23-year-old woman from Elizabethtown was driving on Rt. 230 when she went off the road and slammed into a telephone pole, ripping the door off of her car. The telephone pole was sheered in half, police said.

The car continued onto a grassy embankment. The woman was thrown from the car and it then ran over her.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have not yet released her name.
