A Shippensburg woman was charged with assaulting a police officer as she resisted arrest early this morning.
Borough police said 22-year-old Allison Bull punched and kicked the officer in the genitals.
Bull had argued with an ex-boyfriend and returned with two people, then used a large cooler to break the glass out of two windows at a home in the 300 block of E. King Street, police said.
While a responding police officer was speaking to the ex-boyfriend, Bull tried to leave and refused orders to stop. She then refused to identify herself and resisted arrest before assaulting the officer, police said.
She was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief.
