A bride and groom's biggest fear was realized due to the impending government shutdown. Jodi Little and Michael Markle of Hanover may not be able to get married at the Gettysburg National Military Park on Oct. 19.

"I was panicked, I was crying and I didn't want to believe it," said Little.

"I felt terrible. This is supposed to be the most important day for her," said Markle.

After months of planning the couple turned to plan B and will be getting married in Michael's parents' backyard.

"That's really the only option that we have because of the time situation," said Markle.

It's not exactly how Jodi and Michael pictured it, but it's not keeping them down.

"It's about celebrating our love for each other, so no matter where it is, it's going to be amazing," said Little.

"We are not going to let this ruin our day, as long as our family and friends are there everything will be fine," said Markle.

Michael and Jodi know they are not the only ones affected by the government shutdown. In total 11 events will may have to be canceled at the Military Park in Gettysburg.
