A woman was arrested in Shippensburg after she announced her crime plans within earshot of a borough police officer.
The officer was in a marked car Wednesday and heard 22-year-old Dalanah Smith say they she was going to steal a plant from a front porch in the 100 block of East Street, police said.
The officer parked the vehicle and witnessed Smith, of Nazareth, carrying a planter that had been removed from a nearby home, police said.
While speaking with her, she showed signs of intoxication, police said.
Smith was charged with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.
