HANOVER, Pa. (WHTM) -

Police in Penn Township, York County are investigating a second possible child-luring attempt.

The Hanover Evening Sun reported that a 14-year-old boy was approached on his way to school in the South Franklin Street area this morning and was offered a ride.

The first incident occurred Sunday afternoon when a 9-year-old girl said she was approached by man in the 100 block of Amanda Avenue area who offered her a ride.

Both children fled from the man who has been described as white and balding, and driving a dark, windowless van.

Police have described the van as dark green, possibly a Ford E-series, that has a dirty appearance and is rusting along the bottom.

Police Chief James Laughlin told the newspaper that area residents can expect a highly visible police presence, especially around schools, as the reports are investigated.
