A Carlisle soldier who was killed in action in Afghanistan is back in the United States.
Sgt. Patrick Hawkins was helping a fellow Army Ranger on Sunday when he was killed by an explosive. He was on his fourth deployment to Afghanistan.
On Wednesday, the bodies of Hawkins and three others killed in that attack arrived at Dover Air Force base in Delaware in flag-draped caskets.
