A construction worker was flown to a hospital after her was rescued from an overturned piece of machinery near Harrisburg this morning.
Susquehanna Township fire officials said the man was working at a bridge construction project along Schoolhouse Road when a 36,000 pound trackhoe went into a trench and overturned onto its roof.
The unidentified man was pinned in the cab.
"He was pinned by both the machinery as well as the excavation itself," Susquehanna Township Fire Marshal George Drees said. "Crews were here approximately 15 to 20 minutes to dig him out. He did come out on his own. He was flown to Hershey Medical Center for evaluation. He's a very, very lucky person."
