The National Weather Service in State College says the Swatara Creek in Hershey will remain above flood stage until Saturday morning.
The creek had reached 7.3 feet Friday afternoon, just over its flood stage of 7.0 feet.
Minor flooding has already closed several roads in the area.
The Swatara is expected to crest near 7.5 feet in Hershey before falling below flood stage early Saturday.
At 7.0 feet, the north bank begins to overflow and several roadways upstream of the gauge are affected by high water.
A flood warning previously issued for the Swatara Creek at Harper Tavern and at Middletown has been canceled.
