2 arrested following Midtown Harrisburg robbery

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

Harrisburg police said they have two men in custody for a robbery that occurred Sunday morning.

Jeffery Eutzy, 30, and Robert Williamson, 27, were both arrested along the 300 block of Hamilton Street after fighting with the officers who attempted to detain them, police said.

The robbery took place near North 3rd and Hamilton streets at around 11:45 a.m. Officers took reports from two women who said they were walking in the area when they were approached by two men with a gun who demanded their purses.

The victims were not physically injured, police said.

Williamson is charged with robbery, conspiracy, aggravated assault on a police officer, resisting arrest, escape and disarming a law enforcement officer. Eutzy is charged with robbery, criminal conspiracy to commit robbery and other counts.

Police continue to investigate. Anyone with information is asked to call 255-3158.
