Convenience store robbed outside Mechanicsburg

Posted: Updated:
MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

Lower Allen Township police are investigating an armed robbery Sunday night at the B&H Mart on the 3600-block of Simpson Ferry Road.

Detectives said at around 7:30 p.m., a man entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded money.

During the entire encounter, the robber kept the gun trained on the store employee, police said. He then fled towards St. Johns Road.

The robber is described as tall and thin, wearing black pants and a black hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled up. He also had some type of mask covering his face.

Lower Allen Township police are coordinating with Mechanicsburg police in this investigation because the suspect description matches that of the suspect in two similar robberies in the borough, according to a press release.

Anyone with information is asked to call Lower Allen Township police at 239-9676.
