Several Palmyra residents are still out of their homes after six sinkholes opened up on Friday because of the heavy rain.
The worst sinkhole is on the 300 block of East Cherry Street. Houses were knocked off of their foundations. Eight homes have been condemned and three families are displaced.
Paul Pensinger's home hasn't been affected yet, but he fears it soon will be. He says all he can do is prepare and hope.
"It's too close for comfort, that's for sure," Pensinger said. "When you're looking out your front door and you see a hole opening up, sure it's concerning without a doubt."
Engineers and borough officials are working on a plan to clean up the mess in a safe and timely fashion.
