Man injured during robbery in Carlisle

CARLISLE, Pa. (WHTM) -

A 28-year-old man was taken to a hospital after he was injured during a robbery in Carlisle early Monday, police said.

Carlisle police said the victim was walking in the area of the first block of Liberty Avenue when he was assaulted and thrown against a brick wall by an unknown attacker at around 12:15 a.m.

The victim told officers he blacked out and later realized his cell phone, cash, cigarettes and bank card were missing, police said.

He complained of head and back pain and was transported to Carlisle Regional Medical Center for further evaluation, police said.
