A Lancaster County man was arrested early Thursday after he fired a gun inside an apartment.
East Lampeter Township officers had responded to a domestic disturbance between a man and woman at the Chelsea Village apartments in Leola shortly after midnight, police said.
The woman was outside the apartment, but 23-year-old Steven Neal was inside the apartment alone and officers heard him work the action of a shotgun and discharge a single round, police said.
Neal then opened the front door and was immediately taken into custody, police said.
The shot was fired into the floor and did not exit the apartment.
No one was injured.
Neal was charged with a felony count of discharging of firearm into an occupied structure, along with misdemeanor counts of recklessly endangerment, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.
