A multi-vehicle accident has left five people dead, according to Washington Township Police.

The accident occurred on Saturday just before 2 p.m. in the 13000 block of Fort Ritchie Access Road in Franklin County.

The Franklin County Coroner has identified the victims as:

Authorities say 68-year-old Marjorie Smith crossed the center line on the 13000 block of Fort Richie Access Road hitting a Harley Davidson head on which was driven by 32-year-old Douglas Hoffer Jr.

The impact caused the SUV to turn counterclockwise where it was broadsided by a second motorcycle driven by 67-year-old David Russell and his passenger 53-year-old Michelle Russell.

Officials with the Quarryville Fire Department say Hoffer was a member of the department.
