HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

Pennsylvania Lt. Gov Jim Cawley was taken to a hospital Monday afternoon.

Cawley's spokesman told abc27 News that the lieutenant governor was presiding over the Senate when he felt light headed at around 3 p.m.

He was seen by the Capitol nurse and as a precaution was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

His spokesman said the 44-year-old Cawley was undergoing tests and his wife was with him.

He never lost consciousness, according to the spokesman, and was reading emails and joking as he was placed into the ambulance.
