MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

A Mechanicsburg woman is headed to trial for a hit-and-run crash last month that killed her boyfriend.

A district judge on Tuesday found enough evidence to send vehicular homicide and all other charges against 36-year-old Esther Candace Brubaker to Cumberland County Court.

Brubaker was returned to the county prison following the preliminary hearing. The judge reduced her bail from $1 million to $500,000 cash and set a formal arraignment for Jan. 23.

Silver Spring Township police said Brubaker fled in her minivan after she struck and killed 34-year-old Jeremy Anderson in front of their home at 108 Balfour Drive on the evening of Sept. 30.

Anderson died in the roadway at the end of the couple's driveway and had tire tracks on his body, police said.

According to charging documents, Brubaker smelled of alcohol, slurred her speech and had trouble balancing when she was arrested that night.

In addition to vehicular homicide, she was charged with accidents involving injury or death, homicide by vehicle while DUI, involuntary manslaughter, DUI and reckless driving.
