Girlfriend of Man Involved in Shootout With Christiansburg Police Pleads Guilty to Meth Charges


Christiansburg, VA- The girlfriend of a man who died in a shootout with Christiansburg Police pleaded guilty to meth charges Tuesday.

Sierra Alderman, 21, pleaded to several charges in Montgomery County Court, including conspiring to manufacture meth.

In April, Christiansburg Police were trying to serve warrants on Robert Hughes, when he barricaded himself in his house on Ridgeway Drive and then shot at police.

Alderman was at home during the shootout. She will be sentenced in January and could face 60 years in prison.
