MIDDLETOWN, Pa. (WHTM) -

Middletown police said they're investigating a suspicious death.

Investigators discovered the body of a man inside a home on the 100 block of South Union Street Wednesday evening. Police said it's unclear how he died.

"At this point the coroner is considering it a suspicious death. However, they will be conducting an autopsy...and further forensic evaluation to determine the cause of death and that will largely determine the extent of our investigation," Chief Steven Wheeler said.

The man's identity has not been released.

Police said there is no cause for alarm among neighbors, but they are asking anyone with information to give them a call.
