This weekend, you can go on an evening walk, and get a history lesson at the same time! The walk is called Ghosts of Historic Lynchburg. It starts at Point of Honor and will take you through the historic district.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids.
That's Thursday through Saturday—tickets go on sale at 6 p.m. each night.
A popular country singer will be at Phase 2 Friday! The Charlie Daniels Band will be on stage performing all of their famous hits. Charlie Daniels has been performing for more than five decades, so you don't want to miss his unique music of country and southern rock.
Saturday, the dead are taking over downtown Lynchburg. It's the 3rd Annual Zombie Walk kicking off at the community market. The charity event asks you to bring a can of food or cash donation to the Lynchburg Dog Park. There will be costume prizes, a brain eating contest and a lot more. That starts at 5:30 p.m.
And if you feel like running instead, Saturday is the "I Am Woman" 5K race in Lynchburg. All proceeds will go to the Children's Miracle Network. It's $30 to race, and that starts at 8 a.m. Find out more here.
Also Saturday, there will be a book signing with local author (and one of our own from ABC 13) Jason Farris. His Novel, Bring Forth the Night, is about a female singer in a band who moonlights as a vampire killer. The event is at Givens Books in Lynchburg from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.
