A registered sex offender has been arrested for exposing himself to children at a Cumberland County motel and for showing one child photographs of his genitals, according to police.
Carl Sachette, 73, allegedly invited an 11-year-old to his room at the motel where he gave out candy and showed the pictures to the child, saying the more the child looked the more candy they would get, Middlesex Township police said.
Police also allege that when children who lived at the motel were outside playing, Sachette would stand
at his window completely nude where they could see him.
Sachette was charged Thursday with unlawful contact with a minor, corruption of minors, indecent exposure, disseminating explicit sexual material to minors, and open lewdness.
He was sent to Cumberland County Prison on $250,000 cash bail. A preliminary hearing was scheduled Nov. 4.
Sachette is registered as a sex offender because of a 1990 conviction for sexual abuse of children and involuntary deviate sexual intercourse.
