LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) -

The armed robber who held up the Lancaster Travel Plaza in East Lampeter Township early Sunday may be the same man who robbed a convenience store in Manheim Township, according to police.

The Turkey Hill at 806 New Holland Avenue was robbed at around 4:45 a.m. and the travel plaza at 2622 Lincoln Highway East was held up about two hours later, police said.

In the travel plaza heist, police said the white male had his face covered and displayed an edged weapon while demanding money. He then fled to a waiting vehicle with an undisclosed amount of cash.

At the Turkey Hill, the bandit walked behind the counter with a bandana over his face and demanded cash while holding a knife against the male clerk, police said. He then fled in a white crossover-style vehicle.

Investigators are looking into the possibility that the two crimes are related.

Anyone with information may call East Lampeter Township police at 717-291-4676 or Manheim Township police at 717-569-6401.
