An Abbottstown man has been charged in a deadly crash over the summer in Adams County.
State police in Gettysburg said 44-year-old Jonathan Giannotto was under the influence Aug. 14 when his pickup truck crashed into a lawn mower in the 200 block of Forest Drive in Hamilton Township, killing 55-year-old Charles Ankney of New Oxford.
Police said they investigated the crash for 75 days and arrested Giannotto at his home Tuesday.
He was charged with homicide by vehicle while DUI, driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs, and summary traffic violations.
His bail was set at $50,000 cash and a preliminary hearing was scheduled for Nov. 6.
