President Barack Obama will not be in Gettysburg next month for ceremonies marking the 150th anniversary of President Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address.
Obama is sending Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell to represent his administration, according to National Park Service spokeswoman Katie Lawhon.
Jewell and Pulitzer Prize-winning historian James McPherson will share the keynote speaker role on Nov. 19.
The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. in the Soldiers' National Cemetery and is free to the public. No ticket will be required to enter.
