Camp Hill police said they have investigated an incident Thursday afternoon at the Eisenhower Elementary School and determined there was nothing suspicious about it.
The incident turned out to be a mistake, and there was no attempted child abduction, police said Friday.
Authorities said the case is now closed.
Police previously reported that a young woman had arrived at the school and stated she was picking up a student for a play date.
The child, who had already left the school, was not supposed to be picked up by anyone and did not have a play date scheduled, police said in the initial report.
