MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

A former Mechanicsburg man has been arrested for a shooting incident three years ago where a Lower Allen Township home was struck by bullets.

Izel Garrett, 21, admitted to being the gunman who fired at least six shots during a drug deal Aug. 16, 2010 in the 5200 block of Cobblestone Drive, township police said.

The bullets struck a townhouse and a vehicle belonging to the alleged drug buyers, but no one was injured and no one was in the house that received the most damage from the bullets, police said.

Garrett has been in police custody since 2010 and is serving a state sentence for his role in a 2010 Hazleton homicide, which also occurred during a drug deal.

For the shooting in Lower Allen, he was charged with aggravated assault, robbery, terroristic threats, recklessly endangering, theft and firearms offenses.
