ENOLA, Pa. (WHTM) -

A five-alarm fire evacuated Visaggio's Restaurant in Cumberland County Sunday night.

Dispatchers said flames broke out inside the building on Wertzville Road in Silver Spring Township at around 6:10 p.m.

Multiple units were dispatched from Cumberland and Dauphin counties.

Neighbors saw flames shooting into the sky.

"I saw flames way up over the restaurant, almost 30 to 40 feet over the restaurant," said John Grosz, who lives nearby.

Cumberland County Public Information Officer John Bruetsch said the restaurant, which is the barn and the oldest part of the structure, took a big hit.

"Between fire damage to the second floor and water and fire damage to the first floor, that's virtually destroyed," he said. "The kitchen is destroyed. The banquet hall area in the back has got some smoke and water damage. It is not destroyed."

Bruetsch said the fire went to five alarms because there was no public water source available and the water had to be hauled in.

He said one fire fighters sustained a minor injury away from the fire, in an area where the water was being loaded onto tankers. The Red Cross is assisting two adults who were displaced.

Investigators still had not determined where the fire had started or what caused it.

The business was closed at the time. Visaggio's is not opened on Sundays.
