A Dauphin County woman has been charged with endangering her three children by leaving them alone in an unlocked apartment while she went drinking.
Erika Maria Burgos, 26, of Williamstown, left the children without any supervision for about a half-hour Friday night, according to state police in Lykens.
Troopers on Friday night found Burgos's two-year-old daughter and her four- and six-year-old sons alone in her unlocked apartment in the 100 block of Autumn Drive after one of the children called 911, police said.
Burgos, who was ultimately charged with endangering the welfare of children, returned to the apartment while troopers were there and was visibly intoxicated, according to police.
She admitted to drinking alcohol and to being away from the home for a period of time, police said.
