HERSHEY, Pa. (WHTM) -

Derry Township police arrested a man after a chase Tuesday afternoon.

Police said they received a call from a driver who said a man had pulled up next to him and exposed himself in the parking lot of the Tanger Outlets.

Officers said they found the suspect, still in his GMC Envoy, and pursued him down Hersheypark Drive and into Hummelstown. There, police said he drove through a backyard and was then surrounded in the parking lot of the In Gear bicycle shop.

"It's a huge distraction, but in today's society, it's very concerning and very disturbing that somebody's out in public engaging in this conduct," Derry Township Police Chief Pat O'Rourke said.

O'Rourke said the chase was within the limits of the Derry Township pursuit policy and no one was hurt.

The suspect, 21-year-old Cody Allen Carbaugh of Harrisburg, was charged with fleeing and eluding, indecent exposure, open lewdness, recklessly endangering, reckless driving and several other traffic violations, police said.

He was arraigned at the Dauphin County Judicial Center and committed to the Dauphin County Prison on $100,000 bail.
