Woman says stranger indecently assaulted her twice

LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) -

A 24-year-old woman told police a stranger indecently assaulted her twice in Lancaster early Friday.

City police said the woman reported that the man followed her in the area of the 500 block of East End Avenue and touched her inappropriately at around 4 a.m.

She told officers she got away from the man, but he approached her a second time and touched her more aggressively, police said.

She said she defended herself and the suspect fled.

She described her attacker as a 25- to 35-year-old white or Hispanic man with a light complexion, about 5'5" tall and 175 lbs.

He was said to be wearing a red hooded sweatshirt with the hood up and closed tightly around his face, a black jacket over the sweatshirt, and dark colored jeans.

The woman was not injured.

Police said they checked the area and did not locate anyone, and are now looking to see whether the incident or the suspect was captured on surveillance video.
