Lynchburg Police: Suspect in Overnight Store Robbery Considered 'Armed and Dangerous'

Lynchburg, VA – Police are looking for a man they say robbed the Z-Market #2 at the 1800 Block of Park Avenue Saturday night.

According to police, the clerk reported that the man entered the store, pointed an object at her, which she believed to be a handgun.

The male suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money and is considered armed and dangerous.

The suspect is described as a white male, 5' to 5'2" tall, weighing 120-130 pounds, with light color facial hair, and wearing a hoody style sweatshirt.

The suspect was last seen running across Park Ave, and continuing down Pierce Street.

Lynchburg Police were actively searching for a suspect Sunday morning off of Langhorne Road, but tell ABC 13, the search was unrelated to the robbery.

The robbery is under investigation by the Lynchburg Police Department's Criminal Investigations Division.
